The Icon Class Ships

  • Icon of the Seas — Launched January 2024. Miami. 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean year-round.
  • Star of the Seas — Launched August 2025. Port Canaveral. 7-night Caribbean. Ideal for pairing with Disney World or Universal Orlando.
  • Legend of the Seas — Launching July 2026. Mediterranean debut then Fort Lauderdale repositioning November 2026.
  • Hero of the Seas — Launching August 2027. Miami. The fourth Icon class ship and the largest cruise ship ever built at 248,663 gross tons. Nine pools, 28 dining venues, the Ultimate Family Treehouse suite sleeping 12, expanded Category 6 waterpark, and the largest swim-up bar at sea in the adults-only Hideaway. 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean including Perfect Day at CocoCay. About the Icon Class

The Icon class represents the most ambitious ships Royal Caribbean has ever built. Eight distinct neighborhoods, each with its own character, pools, dining, and entertainment. Icon launched January 2024, Star followed August 2025, Legend arrives July 2026, and Hero of the Seas arrives August 2027 as the fourth and largest vessel in the class at 10 percent larger than its predecessors.

The Eight Neighborhoods

Category 6 Waterpark — Largest waterpark at sea. Included in fare. Thrill Island — FlowRider, rock climbing, zipline. Surfside — Family neighborhood with zero-entry pool and splash pad. The AquaDome — Glass dome with pool, dining, and nightly acrobatic water shows. Central Park — Open-air neighborhood with real trees and specialty dining. The Hideaway — Adults-only. On Hero of the Seas expands to two pools with the largest swim-up bar at sea. Royal Promenade — Main street with shops, bars, and dining. Chill Island — Relaxed pool deck.

Suite Class

Star Class includes a Royal Genie, all specialty dining, all beverages, and priority access. The Ultimate Family Townhouse on Icon and Star sleeps up to eight across three stories. On Hero of the Seas the new Ultimate Family Treehouse sleeps up to 12 with a rooftop whirlpool and two-story teen hideout.
