About the Spirit Class
The Spirit class ships are smaller than later Carnival classes, carrying around 2,100 guests, which makes them ideal for itineraries that require navigating narrower waterways or docking at smaller ports. Carnival Pride from Baltimore is one of the most convenient drive-to-port options on the entire East Coast for Mid-Atlantic and Northeast travelers. The Spirit class ships still offer the full Carnival experience including WaterWorks slides, Guy’s Burger Joint, the Serenity adults-only area, and evening entertainment, just at a smaller and more intimate scale.

Best For
East Coast drive-to-port travelers from Baltimore, Alaska sailings, Australian itineraries, and guests who prefer a smaller more manageable ship. Carnival Legend from Tampa is popular for Western Caribbean itineraries.
